The www.earthquakefix.co.nz is an initiative of the listed industry representative organisations. These organisations have stringent processes for accepting members and each has a robust code of ethics. Our message is that the companies who can be accessed through this portal have been through that process and are held accountable by their representative bodies and their peers, and we want visitors to the site to have a very high degree of comfort from that.

To open the site to independent suppliers would require us to undertake the same sort of independent checking as the industry associations would do, which we don't have the resources to carry out, and even if we did have, there would be no recourse on those suppliers from their peers or organisations in the event they fall short in performance.

We acknowledge that there are suppliers who are extremely competent and who have chosen not to belong to industry representative bodies and we wish them well, however we are not able to accommodate them through this portal.

Enquiries from any established and recognised industry representative bodies, with either qualification or peer reviewed entry criteria and a formal code of ethics for member activity and behaviour are welcomed.
